Bellarmine University is a private Catholic university located in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. It was founded in 1950 by the Archdiocese of Louisville and was named after Saint Robert Bellarmine, a prominent 16th-century Jesuit theologian. The university is a parochial institution of the Roman Catholic Church, but is open to students of all religious persuasions.
