About University

Edgewood College was founded in 1927 by the Dominican Sisters. The institution was conceived as a women's college and in its early years only accepted female students. In 1969, Edgewood College became coeducational, accepting male students into its programs. Edgewood College actively supports and promotes social responsibility and justice. The college emphasizes the importance of service to the community and incorporates this principle into its educational philosophy.

The school is actively working towards sustainability and environmental protection. Edgewood College is included in the Green Registry of colleges recognized for their environmental initiatives. Edgewood College has an art gallery that displays the work of students and visiting artists. It is a space for cultural events and creative expression.
