Eotvos Lorand University is a public research university located in Budapest, Hungary. The university was founded in 1635 in the town of Nagyszombat, Hungary by Péter Pázmány. In 1777, the university moved its campus to the city of Pest, and in 1784 it moved to its current location.

Follow these steps to apply Eotvos Lorand University
Selecting a training program
Go to DreamApply and select the program you want to apply to. You can browse programs by department or by major.
Checking entry requirements
Before applying, please make sure you meet the program's entry requirements.
Create an account
To apply online, you will need to create an account on the DreamApply website. On the home page, click the "Sign In / Register" button to get started.
Filling out the application form
Once you have created your account, you can proceed to fill out the online form. The form requires you to provide personal information, academic qualifications, and other necessary information.
Uploading supporting documents
You will also need to upload supporting documents such as academic transcript, language proficiency certificate and motivation letter.
Payment of application fee
Some programs require applicants to pay an application fee. Please check the "Admissions" section to see if your chosen program requires an application fee and the payment details.
Submitting an application
After completing the form and uploading all the required documents, you can submit your application online.
Receiving an invitation to an entrance test or interview
After reviewing applications, the university may invite candidates to an entrance test or interview. In the case of an entrance test, this may involve writing an essay, solving problems, or completing other test tasks depending on the chosen program. The interview, in turn, provides the university administration with an opportunity to personally assess the student's motivation, academic and professional goals, and critical thinking ability.
Receiving an Acceptance Letter
If you do not meet the requirements, you will receive a notice that your application has been rejected. If you meet the requirements and successfully pass the exam, you will receive an Acceptance Letter document in the online application system. You will also receive more detailed information about how to pay for your studies and all the things you need to do before arriving at ELTE.
Confirmation of your application
Once you receive your "Letter of Acceptance", please confirm your intention to enroll in the online application system.
Obtaining a visa
To obtain a visa to Hungary, applicants must personally submit documents for a category "D" visa at the Visa Application Centres in Almaty and Astana, as third party representation is not allowed. All applicants aged 6 years and above must provide fingerprints. The consular fee is 110 euros and an additional 40 euros for servicing all applicants. The processing time for a temporary residence application is up to 15 working days for student visas, with the possibility of extension up to 60 calendar days if necessary, which is supervised by the Hungarian Directorate General of Foreigners.
Preparing for departure
Preparing for departure includes booking tickets and accommodation, medical preparation, collecting necessary documents, financial preparation, packing luggage, learning local rules and customs, and familiarizing yourself with transportation.
