Application review by the University

After receiving your application and payment of the application fee, Hotel Institute Montreux will review your application within a week and make a decision. If you have met the admission requirements and demonstrated sufficient motivation to study, you will receive a notification of provisional admission by email.

Final admission to Hotel Institute Montreux

To confirm your enrolment, you must pay a registration reservation fee of CHF 3,000.00. The reservation fee must be paid within 30 days of receiving the notification of provisional enrolment. The registration reservation fee will be applied towards the first semester of tuition. If you decide to cancel your enrolment, the registration reservation fee will not be refunded. To avoid this, Hotel Institute Montreux offers the option of purchasing an optional cancellation insurance. The cancellation insurance fee costs CHF 300.00 and is not mandatory.

Applying for a student visa to Switzerland

After paying for your registration booking, you will receive an official confirmation of your registration for study by email. Once you have received your registration, you will need to start applying for a student visa to Switzerland. For students from non-EU countries, visa processing takes up to 12 weeks on average.

Preparing for your studies and booking accommodation at Hotel Institute Montreux

Once you have received your visa, you will need to pay the remaining amount for the first semester. Tuition fees must be paid no later than 6 weeks before classes start. Campus accommodation can only be booked once full payment has been received.
