Create an account
Go to https://apply.kaist.ac.kr/InterApply/InterApply and create your account. Fill in all required fields in the online application form and check that all the information you entered has been saved.
Data verification
Review your application to ensure the information is accurate and complete, paying particular attention to your referee's email address.
Payment of application fee
Pay the application fee (80 USD or 80,000 KRW) by credit card or bank transfer. *Any additional costs such as bank transfer fees must be paid by the applicant. *Once you have successfully paid the application fee, your recommender will be sent an email with instructions on how to submit their recommendation and you will be given access to the document submission page where you can upload the required documents. *Once you have paid the application fee, your application cannot be deleted or cancelled. However, you will be able to update or modify your application within the stated submission deadline.

Obtaining a visa
The visa application process for students from Kazakhstan planning to study in Korea involves several main steps. First of all, applicants need a passport valid for at least 6 months. They must fill out a visa application form, attach a current color photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm), and provide a copy of the personal information page of the passport. To obtain a long-term visa for more than 90 days, applicants must undergo a tuberculosis test (fluorography/PCR test) at an approved clinic within the last 3 months. A certificate of enrollment from the chosen educational institution in original or a copy is required. An academic transcript, such as an original document from the last educational institution with an English translation, must be provided. In addition, a bank statement with a live seal issued within the last 2 weeks confirming financial capacity is required. The required amount varies depending on the type of program and place of residence. Students who are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Seoul, Incheon or Gyeonggi need to present $20,000. For students from other cities, the amount is $18,000. The visa application processing period is about 14 working days, excluding weekends and holidays, the consular fee is $90, paid in cash.
