Kaunas Technical University (abbreviated KTU) is a public research university located in Kaunas, Lithuania. Founded in 1922, KTU is one of the leading research and education centres in Lithuania. Kaunas Technical University has 9 faculties, 8 institutes, 9 research centres, 23 student organisations, 12 dormitories, 7 art clubs, the KTU Active Sports and Health Centre offering 20 types of sports training, and the Technologija Publishing House. KTU is the founder of two integrated research, education and business centres (valleys) – Santaka and Nemunas. The National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre is responsible for the protection and commercialisation of the university’s scientific output. The university has the Artificial Intelligence Centre, which is responsible for formulating KTU’s policy on the development and coordination of activities related to artificial intelligence.
