Follow these steps to apply New York University Abu Dhabi
Review the programs and choose the one that suits you
The first step is to familiarize yourself with NYUAD programs, admission requirements, and assess your relevant qualifications. Choose a program and major that matches your interests, educational and career goals.
Familiarization with University Deadlines
NYUAD has several deadlines for submitting applications for tuition and separate deadlines for applying for scholarships.
Preparation of documents required for admission
Prepare the necessary documents: exam results, language tests, academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, essays, resumes and other documents.
Filling out an application for training
You can use this link to create a Common App account and complete an application to study at NYUAD: https://apply.commonapp.org/login
Submitting an application for training and paying the entrance fee
Apply to NYUAD through your Common App account. You will be required to pay an $80 application fee. Students who cannot pay the application fee may request a fee waiver.
Personal interviews
After reviewing applications for admission, the most successful candidates will be invited to NYUAD for the final and decisive stages of the selection process – in-person interviews (Candidate Weekend). Interviews are held in two stages – online and in-person. The online interview will last 15 minutes. The in-person interview will be on the NYUAD campus in Abu Dhabi. NYUAD covers all expenses associated with this trip. If you are selected to participate in interviews, you will be notified by email provided in your application. Applicants invited to interviews must attend them to maintain eligibility for admission to NYUAD.
Admission decision
Depending on whether you applied during the early or main application deadlines, NYUAD will announce your admissions results in mid-December, mid-February, or early April, respectively. Your scholarship award will be announced along with your admissions results.
Preparing for studies and obtaining a visa
Once you receive a positive response from NYUAD, you need to start applying for a student visa and booking accommodation in Abu Dhabi.
