About University

OWU is one of the most prestigious liberal arts schools in the country. It is one of 45 schools featured in the Colleges That Change Lives program, and it is ranked a best national liberal arts college by U.S. News & World Report. OWU’s 70-plus majors include business, data analytics, fine arts, communication, and education; science fields such as neuroscience and zoology; and a wide range of pre-professional fields, including medicine, dentistry, law, and engineering.

Employers are interested in well-prepared OWU graduates. In 2022, 96% of reporting graduates were employed and/or enrolled in graduate school within six months. The new OWU Career Connection program provides students with internship opportunities in Silicon Valley, the Mayo Clinic, the New York art world, and Wall Street.
