Schreiner University
Schreiner University is a private Presbyterian university in Kerrville, Texas. Founded in 1923, it has been coeducational since 1932. The university is also home to the Schreiner Institute, an academy preparatory program for those who did not receive an appointment or nomination immediately after high school, ROTC, and veteran service.

About University
Charles Schreiner, a Texas rancher and philanthropist who served as Kerr County treasurer for three decades, founded the school in 1917 as the Schreiner Institute. It was originally a military school, but it incorporated academic programs to prepare students for further education.
In 1971, Schreiner's military training ended and it became a four-year college. In 2001, the school became Schreiner University when it began offering master's degrees.
