About University

One of the best universities in Korea is Sejong University. It was founded in 1940 in Seoul as the Kyungsong Institute of Humanities. As the institute expanded and more resources were added, it was renamed Sejong University in honor of Sejong the Great, the king who created the Korean alphabet. Sejong the Great was a great king who led Korea into a golden age of prosperity. Under his leadership, Joseon, the old name for Korea, flourished and commoners learned to read using the simplified Korean alphabet, which replaced the complex Chinese characters.

Sejong University has about 12,000 students enrolled in 9 different colleges. These students study on a beautiful campus in Seoul. The university has excellent academic programs, especially in tourism management and animation programs. These programs are considered the best in Korea.

There are many educational goals of the university that train their students to be "Creatives, Functioning Professionals, People with Cultural Integrity and Committed Citizens". The goal of this university is not only to give their students a great education, but also to teach them to be creative, professional, cultural and committed. They want their students to have character and knowledge. If you attend a university, you will be taught these things along with other subjects.
