How to Enroll

Follow these steps to apply Southern University of Science and Technology

Preparation of documents

A copy of your passport, a high school diploma or a certificate of upcoming graduation, academic transcripts for the past three years, a motivation letter, one or two letters of recommendation, and an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or a TOEFL iBT score of at least 80 are required. All documents must be submitted in English or with a notarized translation.

Online application submission

Apply online through the university's official portal: infoadmin.sustech.edu.cn. Application is completely free, and there is no registration fee. Simply select a program taught in English, complete the application, and upload your documents.

Participation in an online test and interview

After reviewing their applications, successful applicants are invited to an online test and interview. The test assesses academic knowledge and logical thinking, while the interview helps determine the applicant's English proficiency and motivation. Admission decisions are sent via email within a few weeks of the interview.

Receiving an offer and scholarship

Selected candidates receive an Offer Letter . They are also automatically considered for university scholarships.

Confirmation of enrollment and visa processing

After receiving an offer, the student confirms their enrollment, receives student visa documents (form JW202 and Admission Notice), and submits an application to the Chinese Embassy for an X1 visa.

Arrival and check-in

Upon arrival at the Shenzhen campus, international students undergo registration, a health check, and orientation before beginning their studies.
