Applications and essays
The Common App has prompts for writing your personal essay. In addition to the personal essay, they also require Stanford questions, which you can obtain and submit through the Common App once you add Stanford to your list of universities. The essay is your chance to tell them about yourself in your own words; there are no right or wrong answers, and you should show your sincerity.
After submitting your application
Once they receive your application, you will be sent a confirmation email with instructions on how to log into your Stanford Portal to check the status of your application. This email will be sent to the same email address you used when you applied.
