The university's campus is located in the southern part of the city and covers 388 acres on both sides of the Miami River. The campus includes the Immaculate Conception Chapel and the University of Dayton Arena.

In fall 2020, the university had 11,347 full-time students representing a variety of religious, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds.
