About University

Wilfrid Laurier International College offers both a Foundation Program and a UTP Stage II program, which is the equivalent of Year 1 of an undergraduate degree. Upon successful completion, students progress directly to Year 2 of an undergraduate degree at Laurier. WLIC offers transition into more than 70 programs across five faculties: Business and Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Science and Art. With smaller class sizes, greater support for international students, more affordable entry requirements, and options for students who have not completed Grade 12 math, WLIC is an ideal solution for many students. Laurier is one of Canada’s oldest universities. It is ranked in the top 6 percent of institutions worldwide, has a 97 percent graduate employment rate, and is located in Canada’s tech capital. Recruiting students in September, January, and May, it offers flexible entry terms and can even start studying online with the Hyflex option before you arrive. As part of the new initiative, WLIC is offering an automatic scholarship of C$4,000 for May and September 2024 applicants. There are no academic requirements or interviews – students simply need to accept the offer by the deadline. All students who apply by this date are also guaranteed a place in student housing.
