Year 1 (two-year master's programme) Students join the master's programme of their admitting department and their supervisor's laboratory. The first year combines the compulsory subjects and departmental coursework with the start of laboratory research. "As a general rule, the following credits are required: Master's program: 30 or more credits. ... The number of necessary credits shall be determined by each department.
